"TOWNIE" seemed an appropriate term to describe the sense of belonging and how connected he felt to this very special place. Frank and his children proudly wore their Townie^® shirts everywhere. It wasn’t long before it caught on at schools and other towns from this tri-town community were requesting shirts named for their towns. In 1990 Frank lost his job as a Junior Manufacturing Engineer due to a plant closing. He decided to apply for a trademark which was approved for registration, had tee shirts for all three towns printed up and started selling them from the back of his pickup truck at community events. screen printing operation is equipped with state of the art automatic and manual presses. The embroidery department is also fully automated with computerized, multi-head embroidery machines. Both departments as well as an initial pad printing operation are supported by a talented graphic art department which provides custom designs that illustrate those things a particular town is best known for.
